Smart Meter Number Location
A meter serial number New pc software free download. (or 'meter ID') is an alphanumeric reference used in Great Britain to identify an electricity meter. Although meter serial numbers are intended to be unique, this can not be assured and duplicate serial numbers do exist. There are a variety of formats used over many years, but many meter serial numbers take the form A##AA###### (e.g. S06DS123456). The first letter indicates the manufacturer, the first two digits indicate the year the meter was calibrated and certified, and the second letter (or pair of letters) indicates the company that purchased the meter. The five/six digit sequence is a serial batch number. There may be a space separating the groups of numbers and letters. Electric meters in other countries besides Great Britain do not necessarily follow this standard.
Dec 30, 2015 Although many may think the serial number is just a random number unique to each unit, it actually contains lots of technical information about the unit! 1st digit - Brand name 2nd & 3rd digit - Year of manufacture 4th digit - Model 5th digit - Di. The supply number (your MPRN or MPAN) is a reference point for the property where the meter is located. It's the point where we put the meter, not the meter itself. The Meter Serial Number is the number of the meter and so this will change whenever a meter is replaced, whereas a supply number will not.
